Position Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Estimator to join our theming construction team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in analyzing project requirements and preparing accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and other resources. This individual will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that our projects align with both budgetary and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Project Estimation
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and determine project scope for budgeting purposes.
- Prepare detailed estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
2.Bid Proposal Preparation
- Compile and organize all necessary documents for bid proposals, including subcontractor bids, supplier quotes, and project data.
- Prepare bid proposals for theming projects, ensuring they align with the project’s financial and operational goals.
3.Cost Analysis & Budgeting
- Analyze historical data and benchmark costs to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
- Work closely with project managers to refine budgets and identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
4.Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure they meet project requirements and standards.
5.Project Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, project costs, and other related documentation.
- Regularly update and track costs during project execution to monitor any deviations from initial estimates.
6.Collaboration and Communication
- Liaise with project managers, designers, and engineers to ensure clear understanding of project requirements.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure cost elements are clearly communicated to all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with experience in themed construction or specialty builds.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, processes, and local market costs.
- Proficiency in estimation software Revit AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite is Must.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and time-management skills.
Working Conditions:
This position may require occasional travel to project sites and the ability to work under tight deadlines. The Estimator will operate in an office environment but may be required to visit construction sites periodically to understand the scope and specific requirements of a project.
